Self-care Sunday

I don’t know about you, but in my household, today was one of those go nowhere, do nothing, kind of days! And while I wasn’t technically doing “nothing,” it definitely felt like a lower pressure kind of day. Which makes me wonder about the pressure we put on ourselves that keeps us on- the-go, tired and frustrated.

Today, I felt like I wasn’t really doing much, because we stayed home. But really, becuase we stayed home we were able to connect better as a family. We gladly built block towers with our 2-year-old with no rush; we watched church online as a family; and we folded an incredible amount of laundry that had piled up (how does it do that so fast?😂🤔) But, we folded it leisurely over the course of the day. When we take a break, shift into a lower gear, or leave a day unscheduled, we end up allowing space for magical moments to happen. And it’s kind of nice to go-with-the-flow sometimes. What becomes possible for you if you leave a little space in your schedule? Or if you prefer to schedule all of your time, then schedule it to “do nothing” or “whatever comes to mind?Try it out, friend! 🫶🏼✨
